Custom gates

What gates do we build?

We build custom walk gates, double drive gates, driveway gates and automatic gates in wood, metal and combinations of both. Many of our wood gates hang on welded steel frames, which keep wide gates from sagging. One customer wrote that after Gil set the posts and took measurements, he welded a custom frame that fit their opening.

Good to know

Why do gates sag, and how do we prevent it?

Most gates sag because the hinge post leans or the frame racks out of square under its own weight. We set gate posts deeper and stronger than line posts, size hinges and latches for the gate, and use welded steel frames on wider gates. Gates built that way keep swinging and latching without dragging on the ground.
